1. Grant Access to Setup with Agentforce
- In Setup, search for and select Permission Sets.
- Click New, and name the permission set
Use Setup with Agentforce. Optionally, add a description. - Leave the License as --None--. Click Save.
- Click System Permissions, then click Edit.
- Scroll down and select Use Setup with Agentforce.
- Click Save and then Save again to confirm permission changes.
- At the top of the page, click Manage Assignments.
- Click Add Assignments. Select your username, click Next, then click Assign.
- Return to the Permission Sets page, select the Data Cloud User permission set, and repeat Manage Assignments → Add Assignments → select your username → Assign.
- Return again, select Prompt Template User permission set, and repeat the assignment.
- Refresh your browser.
2. Enable Setup with Agentforce
- Click the gear icon and click Setup.
- In the Quick Find box, search for and select Agentforce Agents.
- Click the Agentforce toggle to on.
- In Setup, search for and select Setup with Agentforce.
- Turn on Agent Availability.
- Refresh your browser.
3. Ask the Setup Agent for Help
- Go to Setup (gear icon → Setup).
- On Setup Home, type in the prompt bar:
How do I create a custom object in Object Manager? - Review the agent's response — it provides information, resources, records, list views, and other components. Click View Details for expanded view.
4. Create a Custom Object
Continuing the same conversation with the agent:
- Enter:
Create a new custom object named Beach Rental that will be used for tracking beach equipment rentals. Include custom fields: Equipment ID, Guest (lookup to Contact), Type (picklist values: Snorkel, Paddleboard, Surfboard, Kayak). Reuse the existing Contact object for the lookup. - Review the proposed data model.
- To add another field, enter:
Add a custom field called Status (picklist values: Rented, Returned, Damaged). - Click Confirm to create the object with all fields.
5. Create a Flow
- Start a new conversation with the agent from Setup Home.
- Enter:
Create a flow named "Thank You Email on Beach Rentals Return" that starts when a Beach Rentals record has Status changed to Returned. It should send a thank you email to the contact in the Guest field. - Review the agent's proposed flow specifications. Click Confirm.
- Click the provided link to navigate to Flow Builder and do a final review.
6. Create and Assign a Permission Set
- Start a new conversation with the agent.
- Enter:
Create a permission set named "Campaign Access" that gives Create, Read, Edit and Delete permissions for the Campaign object. And give Read and Edit field permissions for the Active, Description, Status, and Type fields. - Click View Details to review the proposed permission set.
- Click the recommendation to confirm creation.
- Enter:
Assign this permission set to Lexie Stevens. - Click Confirm.
7. Make Record Access Updates
- In a new conversation, enter:
What's the org-wide default for Campaign? - Agent tells you the current access level. Enter:
Change the default internal access to Private. - Click Confirm.
- Continuing the same conversation, enter:
Create a sharing rule that shares Campaign records with Type=Marketing with the Marketing Coordinators group. Give this group Read/Write access. - Review and click Confirm.
8. Clone a User
- Start a new conversation:
Clone user Lexie Stevens. - Fill in the details:
- First Name:
Kevin - Last Name:
Park - Username and email (in email format)
- First Name:
- Select the Clone Assignments option to copy permission sets and access.
- Review the draft and click Confirm.
9. Review Changes from the Setup Audit Trail
- Start a new conversation:
Show all Setup changes made in the last week. - Click View Details to see all entries.
- To filter further:
Filter audit trail data by changes related to permission sets
10. Troubleshoot User Access Issues
- Enter:
Colin Reeves can't edit cases anymore. What object permissions does he have for cases? - Review the permissions — notice he lacks Edit for Cases.
- Enter:
What permission sets are assigned to Colin Reeves that are related to managing cases? - The agent displays the Cases: CRED permission set — it's missing the Edit permission.
- Enter:
Add the Edit and Delete object permissions to the Cases: CRED permission set. - Click the recommendation to confirm saving changes.
11. Monitor Your Org's Health and Usage
- On Setup Home, in the Org Health and Usage section, find the Security Health Score tile.
- Click the Ask Agentforce button.
- Enter:
Review org's security settings. - Select or reply with:
High-Risk security settings. - When asked, select:
Both Non-Compliant and Compliant settings. - If asked about Informational Security Settings, reply
Yes. - Review the list of High-Risk security settings and their compliance status.
- Go back to Setup Home. Find the Most Used Licenses tile.
- Click the Ask Agentforce button.
- Review the license consumption summary.
